You’re good at what you do.
Really good.
But nobody outside your inner circle knows it.
Not the journalists writing stories about your industry right now.
Not the editors commissioning features for the publications your ideal clients actually read.
Not the podcast hosts who keep featuring someone less experienced, less qualified and less genuinely extraordinary than you.
Not yet.
There’s a journalist out there right now, today, who is looking for exactly the expert you are. The perspective you carry. The story only you can tell.
She won’t find you.
Not because you’re not the right person. You are.
But you’re not in her world yet.
Your name hasn’t crossed her desk.
Your story hasn’t landed in her inbox in a way that made her stop and think “Yes! This is exactly who my readers need to hear from.”
So she’ll find someone else.
And you’ll watch it happen. Again.
Known is the day that stops that.
KNOWN is a one day forensic PR experience for established founders who are ready to be seen by the right people, in the right publications, on the right platforms and in front of the right audiences.
Who are ready to go beyond the surface level of shiny logos, trust tags and showing off their wins on social media, and securing coverage that opens doors to access, invites and opportunities.
THIS ISN’T A DAY WHERE YOU’LL BE TALKED AT BY LAURA SHARING TOP TIPS
It’s structured day where you’ll do the actual work, in the room:
The story claiming.
The pitch writing.
Then pitching live, to a panel of real journalists, alongside other people doing exactly the same thing.
You’ll leave knowing what you want to be known for. Who needs to hear it. Where they hang out. How to reach them. And how to pitch to the people with the power to feature you.
CLAIM WHAT YOU WANT TO BE KNOWN FOR.
The day begins with the most important question in PR . The one most founders have never properly answered. The one other PRs overlook:
WHAT DO I WANT TO BE KNOWN FOR? WHO DO I NEED TO BE KNOWN BY?
This is the work that sits underneath every pitch, every feature and every journalist relationship that compounds.
Until you can answer it with forensic clarity, nothing else works.
Woven throughout the day is Jodie Hayward.
Her identity and alignment work ensures that what you’re claiming doesn’t just live in your head. It lands in your body. It sticks. It travels home with you and stays there long after the day ends.
Because the most powerful pitch in the world is worthless if you don’t fully believe it yourself.
CURATE THE MEDIA OUTLETS THAT REACH YOUR AUDIENCE
Once you know what you want to be known for and who by, the next question is where those people actually are.
Which publications do they read. Which podcasts do they listen to. Which journalists are already writing stories for that audience and looking for the exact kind of expert you are.
You leave this session with a curated media landscape that is entirely personal to you.
NOT A GENERIC LIST OF PUBLICATIONS
The specific outlets where your ideal clients already live, and where your story belongs.
Identify your PR stories and how to tell them
You have more newsworthy stories than you think.
The client whose life changed.
The perspective that cuts against the grain of your industry.
The personal journey that sits underneath the business.
The data, the insight, the lived experience that a journalist could build an entire feature around.
In this session Laura pulls them out
Forensically, specifically and in the language that makes a journalist stop scrolling.
You leave with your news hooks.
The angles that are uniquely, undeniably yours.
The stories that are already inside you, finally shaped in a way that the press can use.
MASTER THE ART OF WRITING A PITCH
A pitch is not a press release.
It’s not a summary of your business.
It’s not a list of your credentials or a request for coverage.
It’s an email focussing on why this specific story, told by this specific person, belongs in this specific outlet right now.
Laura teaches you how to write one.
Not a template.
Not a formula.
The specific, considered craft of the pitch; what goes in, what stays out and what makes the difference between an email that gets opened and one that gets deleted.
Then you write yours.
In the room.
For the journalist you’re about to meet.
THEN THE JOURNALISTS ARRIVE
Five of them. From Forbes, Grazia, Brand Runway, The BBC.
Five media outlets your ideal clients already consume.
They’ll share their insider insights.
What lands in their inbox and what gets deleted.
What makes them stop scrolling.
What makes them pick up the phone.
What they are actively looking for right now and can’t find enough of.
You will recognise yourself in their answer.
Then you pitch.
Live. In the room.
You choose your journalist. You stand up. You deliver the pitch you wrote in the room, to the person it was written for, and you hear directly what they thinks
Not feedback in the abstract.
The actual journalist. The actual response.
The actual conversation that either opens the door or tells you exactly what to change before you send it properly.
This is the most valuable hour most founders will ever spend on their PR.
THE DAY CLOSES WITH A PRIVATE DINNER
The journalists, Laura and the founders who have spent the day doing the most important work of their visibility journey.
The conversations that started in the room continue over dinner.
The relationships that formed in the pitching session deepen over food and wine.
The journalist who heard your pitch this afternoon is sitting across the table from you this evening.
This is where coverage is born and trust is built.
Not in the pitch.
In the relationship that follows it.
ONCE THE LIGHTS FADE AND WE SAY FAREWELL
You’ll have a 121 strategy call with Laura
She’ll sit down with you personally, just the two of you, to map your next steps and maximise this opportunity.
What to send first.
Who to pitch.
How to leverage the relationships you built in the room.
What the 90 days after Known looks like for your specific story and your specific media landscape.
It’s not a debrief.
It’s the beginning of the implementation, with Laura’s forensic attention entirely on you.

MEET YOUR HOST
Hey! I’m Laura Perkes and I’m The Media Matchmaker.
I’ve spent the past 22 years supporting global brands, SMEs, founders, coaches and consultants.
There’s one thing I know to be true and I will die on the hill saying it:
PR isn’t just about collecting media logos that look pretty but quickly gather dust on a digital shelf.
It’s about the doors it opens, the opportunities it creates and the people who start to know YOU and invite you into their spaces.
PR isn’t about privilege.
It’s about having a voice and not being afraid to use it.
It’s about having a hot spicy take on your industry that helps you stand out.
It’s the gateway to accessing an audience that wasn’t available to you previously.
With commercial acumen and an ability to see what you can’t, the way I work isn’t to fixate on visibility.
It’s to make sure that the right people are speaking about you, featuring you and paying you. Whether that’s to speak on stage, deliver a workshop or work with you as their mentor.
I’m not for everyone. But if you’re here, you’ve made the cut.
YOU ALREADY KNOW YOU’RE WORTH KNOWING
Every client you’ve ever transformed knows it.
Every result you’ve ever delivered proves it.
Now it’s time for the world to know it too.
The room is ready.
The journalists are coming.
The pitch you write in that room could change everything.
All that’s left is for you to walk through the door.
